The ‘Day of the Champions’ to bring power, glory and victory to Northlands Park
EDMONTON, AB – Northlands is proud to host the 85th running of the Canadian Derby presented by CIBC on August 16, 2014 at Northlands Park Racetrack and Casino. At the post position draw on August 13, Northlands announced the 11 horses entered in the biggest race day in Western Canada.
“The nation’s best thoroughbreds, trainers and jockeys will arrive at Northlands Park to compete in the summer’s fastest, most athletic and prestigious event of the summer”, said Sharilee Fossum, Acting President and CEO, Northlands. “Northlands Park serves as the destination for summer excitement and the Canadian Derby is the pinnacle event of the horse racing season.”
