K-Days in the Community
K-Days 50/50: In its second year, the K-Days 50/50 raised $88,640 in support of youth development and agriculture education programs
Monday Morning Magic: At the 38th annual Monday Morning Magic, more than 550 children with special needs and their families enjoyed an exclusive visit to K-Days with local heroes, athletes and celebrities at their side!
Food Bank Days: This year, every day was Food Bank Day at K-Days. Through the collection of non-perishable Food Bank donations at the north, east and south gates, Northlands was able to collect over 500 kg of food for Edmonton’s Food Bank.
Monster Burger: Back for the first time since 2011, 15 Monster Burgers were sold through the 10 days of K-Days. Through these sales, 33 lbs of beef was donated to Edmonton’s Food Bank.
Kids Up Front: A total of 12,000 K-Days gate admissions were donated to Kids Up Front, an organization that provides tickets to children who otherwise would not have the opportunity to attend K-Days.
Kiwanis Slide: Northlands is proud to once again support Kiwanis, a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world. Through the operation of the giant slide at K-Days, Kiwanis has generated more than $80,000 to help them achieve their mission.
KidsSport Edmonton: Kick, Shoot or Throw for Kids in support of KidSport Edmonton raised a total of $6,918, meaning more children in the community can participate in organized sports.
Make-A-Wish: Ten Make-A-Wish children participated in the daily K-Days on-site parade and more than 40 Ride-All-Day passes were donated to Make-A-Wish children and their families.

As the backbone of all of our Northlands Events, K-Days would not be a success without the dedicated work of many Northlands Volunteers.

This year’s festival trended in Edmonton four days in a row, with #KDAYS taking the first spot in Edmonton and #KDAYSParade the fifth in Canada on July 17 - K-Days had 44K stories created on Facebook
