Celebrate green & gold at Edmonton’s largest patio party!
EDMONTON, AB – On Saturday, September 12, horse racing and football fans will collide at Northlands Park Racetrack & Casino prior to the Battle of Alberta Labour Day Rematch between the Edmonton Eskimos and the Calgary Stampeders. Before joining the fan parade to Commonwealth Stadium, join us on the Northlands Park tarmac as we celebrate green and gold with live racing, beer, BBQ and free parking with a donation to Edmonton’s Food Bank.
“We’re excited to partner with the Edmonton Eskimos to bring together two of the most exciting sports of the summer season, horse racing and football,” said Tim Reid, President & CEO, Northlands. “We know Edmontonians bleed green and gold and Park and Party is a fun opportunity to celebrate the end of summer at Northlands Park while demonstrating their civic pride.”
Starting at 1 p.m., guests can enjoy the party atmosphere by taking part in games such as bucking around, football toss and even compete in a cheer off – best cheer wins! Eskimos alumni will be signing autographs and Eskimos merchandise will be available for sale.
Guests can join the Eskimos Cheer Team during the Edmonton Eskimos Alumni Race. For this feature race, jockeys will show their Esks pride by wearing home and away-themed silks. Following the race, join the Fan Parade headed for Fan Fest and Family Zone at Commonwealth Stadium.
