Canadian Finals Rodeo, Farmfair International and Rodeo Week gallop into Edmonton this November
EDMONTON, AB – Northlands along with members of the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association and special guests kicked off the 43rd annual Canadian Finals Rodeo and Farmfair International taking place on the Northlands grounds from November 9-13. The third annual Rodeo Week will encourage Edmontonians and visitors to take a walk on the western side from November 4-13.

The third annual Rodeo Week will run in conjunction with the Canadian Finals Rodeo and Farmfair International from November 4-13 and will provide Edmontonians with the opportunity to engage in western-themed activities in bars, restaurants, hotels and other public spaces. For 10 party-packed days, the city will celebrate with events including the Rodeo Week Chili Cook-Off, Rodeo Kids Korral, the Miss Rodeo Canada Pageant and more.

There is no time to rest when it’s best against best at the Canadian Finals Rodeo November 9-13, 2016. As the largest annual indoor rodeo in Canada, the Canadian Finals Rodeo attracts the best rodeo athletes, stock and personnel in the country to Northlands Coliseum for six adrenaline packed performances. This year, competitors will descend on the city of Edmonton to vie for national titles in seven major events and more than $1.5 million in prize money. Collecting points at rodeos across the country all year, the CFR competitors represent the 12 best athletes in each event. With humble beginnings, the first edition of the Canadian Finals Rodeo drew 24,000 dedicated rodeo fans to the Edmonton Gardens. Now, more than 90,000 guests come to Northlands Coliseum to enjoy the CFR annually.
